Volunteer counters

We are looking to add to our team of counters for the Sunday and Holy Day collections. A volunteer would receive training with an experienced team, and a complete written description of procedures will be provided.

Volunteers will be asked to commit to shifts from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm on Mondays.

Each volunteer must complete and pass a background check, and we welcome back previous counters. This team will work directly with our bookkeeper, Suzi, and oversight with the Regional Pastoral Associate for Administration, Carmen.

Email Suzi at smantle@sacredhearttacoma.org for details, or call the Parish Office at (253) 472-7738.

One Parish Planning

Now underway

Our Parish Family is made up of the following communities of faith:

Sacred Heart Parish

St. Martin of Tours and Holy Rosary Bilingual Academy (Fife)

and

All Saints Parish and School (Puyallup)

Under the leadership of our Pastor (Father Cal Christiansen) and Parochial Vicars (Fathers Dexter Dais, Tony Kitema and Gilberto Mora Tapia), our Parish Family is currently working together to become 1 canonical Parish by 2027 through One Parish Planning. This pastoral effort is taking place across the Archdiocese of Seattle to reinvigorate and renew our local Church, in response to the needs of the people and the realities of today.

October 2025 update

Each Parish household is encouraged to complete 1 Parish Family survey, which will help us determine who are we now, in order to later prayerfully discern who do we want to become - see Stages 2 and 3 in the One Parish Planning timeline below.

Thank you for your valuable input!

What are PFLT and PFAC?

Key to the successful implementation of One Parish Planning are 2 groups consisting of representatives from our 3 Parishes: PFLT (Parish Family Leadership Team; comprised of Parish staff) and PFAC (Parish Family Advisory Council; comprised of volunteers). Please pray that the Holy Spirit continues to guide these consultative bodies.

Learn more about the other Parishes and schools within our Family by clicking the buttons below.

We are thrilled to share that one of our Parish Family schools, Holy Rosary Bilingual Academy in Fife, earned top honors in three categories in The News Tribune's 2025 Best of Pierce County awards.

Best Private School - 1st Place

Best Middle School - 3rd Place

Best Elementary School - 3rd Place

Thank you to everyone in our community who voted, who supports us, and most of all, who play a part in making our school such a wonderful place to be!
